About the role

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hygiene leader to join the Kerry Team in Grasse, France,

 

This is a Permanent Role.

Key responsibilities

 

This role will be reporting directly to the site Quality Manager.  The site currently have a hygiene team in place who carry out day to day sanitation of the site.  This role is for a Technical / Quality minded individual with the purpose of effectively & efficiently managing hygiene & sanitation for site.

 

In role you will:

  • Provide expertise on suitable chemicals and equipment to deliver appropriate cleaning methods liaising with appropriate 3rd party partners (e.g. Diversey)
  • Provide subject matter expertise as part of the onsite HACCP team
  • Accountability for the pre requisite program of cleaning and sanitation and associated budgets
  • Accountability for Managing the Sanitation Program and Sanitation KPI's to ensure implementation of procedures and processes in accordance to Kerry Global, GFSI, Customer, Regulatory standards and Codes of Practice
  • Primary contact for regulatory agencies, Kerry internal and other third-party audits concerning sanitation and to ensure effective actions in place for any gaps identified
  • Support Hygienic Design, Sanitation Continuous Improvements, Environmental Monitoring programmes, RCA
  • Accountability for the development and execution of sanitation training for site staff as appropriate
  • Provide advice for stored product pest management and facility pest control & develop relationship with Pest Control Provider
  • Ensuring the management and control of site hygiene activities to ensure the effective elimination or prevention of microbiological, chemical and foreign body contamination
  • The full implementation and adherence to the Kerry Global Sanitation Standards
  • The management and control of all 3rd party hygiene service providers & agreement of SLA’s
  • Provide the site management team with detailed regular reports including the trended analysis of the site hygiene performance against set KPI’s and agreed metrics and milestones Report all Global & Regional Sanitation KPI’s & metrics as required

Qualifications and skills

 

  • French language required
  • Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited university (biology, microbiology, food science, chemistry) or experience in lieu of education (science related)
  • Food sanitation experience
  • Experience with food safety systems and food manufacturing.
  • Experience in leading others.
  • Min HACCP 3
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Good English level
  • Effective communicator and influencer
  • Flexible and adaptable to be successful in a changing environment
  • Able to work cross functionally
  • Relationship building
