About the role

 

​​​Food application expert with food processes understanding, This person will lead application projects to deliver customer needs efficiently and in required timeline​​. You will be principally responsible for:

 

  • ​​​​Providing a technical solution that meets customer expectations on projects assigned to him/her or on which he/she works as a team 
  • ​Developing all kinds of food applications (with a focus in dairy, bakery or confectionary) in order to evaluate, select and promote technical solutions from the Kerry portfolio existing or in development. Set up all the experiments to take into account economic and industrial constraints. 
  • ​Working within a team under the supervision of the Applications Manager and constitute a privileged technical interface between Flavorists, application technologists from other sites, sales and customers to highlight Kerry expertise​​​

Key responsibilities

 

  • Handle trial formulations and recipe adjustments, in the dairy applications, bakery, confectionary and sweet area.  
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers. 
  • Play a role as a technical contact for customer to drive consistency and to improve service quality. 
  • Coordinate response to customer requirements for technical documentation, projects, and trials. 
  • Connect and execute with other internal departments to achieve the best technical solutions. 
  • Remain aware of all health and safety issues relevant to the position 
  • Coordinate the raw materials sourcing and consumable supply in the lab. 
  • To support Application Manager when required and to keep him/her informed in relevant project progress and challenges. 

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Bachelor’s degree of Science in Food Science and Technology or similar science background
  • Experience in R&DA in Food application and Food processes (dairy, bakery, confectionary) 
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Experience and knowledge of the food industry,  
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a food application, ideally across a range of regional markets.
