About the role


We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives at our Kerry Glasgow site. At this site we manufacture seasoning blends, herbs, spices and other related products for the food service industry.


We have opportunities of for a night shift (8.30pm-7.45am Monday - Thursday) and a day shift (7.30am-4pm Monday - Thursday).

Key responsibilities


  • Operate mixing and packaging machinery/equipment as laid down by standard operating procedures and training.
  • Lift and stack raw materials and products in compliance with manual handling training.
  • Ensure equipment and production areas are kept clean and tidy to the expected standard of hygiene and tidiness, as specified by the weekly cleaning programmes for each area. To ensure compliance to internal and external audits.
  • Follow personal hygiene standards as laid down by the company.
  • Ensure all paperwork and SAP System is updated as required
  • Follow Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure that they and other operators are safe in the working environment.
  • Communicate issues/inability to meet verbal or written instructions immediately to Team leader or Manager.
  • Carry out Quality Assurance checks on product being manufactured to ensure the factory produces product that meets specified standards and issues are highlighted at the earliest possible point.  Ensure samples are taken for Quality Control testing as laid down in procedures.
  • To carry out any additional task that is reasonably requested of them by their manager.


Qualifications and skills


  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Team worker
  • Previous experience of working in a Food Manufacturer or a knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
  • Previous experience of using RFID guns
  • Machine Controller experience
  • Flexible in working in different areas
