About the role

 

Based out of the Center of Co-creation in Frankfurt am Main, works in partnership with customers from the Meat Industry in DACH, Benelux and Nordics to develop innovative new concepts as well as renovating current products that are tailored to customer´s specific needs.

Key responsibilities

 

  • Manages application activities related to key projects in DACH, Benelux and Nordics, as part of the Central Europe Meat D&A Team.
  • Prepares all types of samples in application for the Meat Industry: sausages, deli meats, coated products, meat alternatives, etc.
  • Ensures that ingredient functionality into final products fits the purpose of the customer.
  • Interacts with customers in trouble shooting sessions on application concerns.
  • Participates in internal trainings to bring new developments as unique selling points for the customers.
  • Supports the roll-out of strategic new technologies, alongside Sales and Marketing teams.

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Degree in Food Science or equivalent or Butcher Master and / or Meat Technologist (Kulmbach) desired
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in the Meat Industry
  • Extensive application knowledge in Meat, including pilot plant equipment operation
  • Proficient in creating new meat products, improving existing ones and ensuring product consistency throughout shelf-life.
  • Strong understanding of the chemical and microbiological aspects of meat products and their implications on safety and quality.
  • Knowledge of how ingredients interact and contribute to the texture, taste, and stability of meat products.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including timelines and resources
  • Effective communication and teamwork with R&D, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Regulatory teams.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • Good communications skills | Self-motivated | Organised.
  • Proficient spoken and written English (C1) and German
