What will you do?

Main Objective
The Sanitation Manager will develop effective relationships to enable wet and dry sanitation technical support in the factory. In addition to assisting operations with targeted improvements; this position will develop, communicate and lead the local strategy to ensure compliance to Kerry’s global standards.
 
Main Activities

  • Work in collaboration with contracted cleaning service to ensure an effective sanitation program.
  • Provide input to, and efficiently assign and monitor the Master Sanitation schedule to ensure the plant meets GMP and Kerry guidelines.
  • Lead the Monitoring, Verification and validation of the Cleaning & Sanitation Process.
  • Inspect plants and warehouses to ensure compliance with internal sanitation and safety procedures and programs and to comply with state and federal laws.
  • Oversee all sanitation training programs to ensure they are understood and completed by sanitation personnel and production operators in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assure compliance to all federally mandated and local regulations by the production facility to assure food safety for consumers.
  • Understand clean up procedures and SSOPs for all plant equipment.
  • Audit periodic and product changeovers.
  • Support the root cause analysis, implementation of resolutions and close out of issues / incidents which have been identified as part of audit or sanitation monitoring activities.
  • Involved in Customer Audits and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Coordinate pest control and water control programs for plant.
  • Effectively team with coworkers to maintain a safe and efficient work force.
  • Ensure third party vendors adhere to plant rules and regulations.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, microbiology (or related) highly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience at a supervisor / manager level in sanitation within a food / beverage manufacturing setting.
  • Leadership for compliance of GMP; FDA and/or USDA regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of wet and dry cleaning /verification processes.
  • Working knowledge and experience with HACCP and sanitation systems (MSS, SSOP).
  • Leadership and communication skills, being able to work effectively cross functionally with other teams.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a nice to have.

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $89,175 to $134,984 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc.  In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
