About the Role

Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will manage the day to day operations of the production team and production schedule. 


Key responsibilities

Key Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for leading production staff to achieve production targets in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Develop and maintain efficient SOPs in collaboration with the site engineers.
  • Develop and maintain qualified personnel within the plant production department.
  • Communicate and enforce regulatory & Kerry standards within the plant.
  • Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, warehouse and quality department to achieve and sustain results
  • Leads team members by managing and executing plant process
  • Drive operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Manage the plant production department within budget.
  • Positive working environment driving a continuous improvement theme.
  • Work in collaboration with HSE officer to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Responsible for manufacturing product to specification. 
  • Responsible for minimizing losses.
  • Ensure food safety programs are instituted and followed.
  • Management through KPIs.

Key competencies:

  • Analytical skills.
  • Continuous improvement understanding.
  • SAP experience Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of leadership and team development, motivation, coaching and influential skills.
  • HACCP/Food Safety experience a plus.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of study preferred or relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated success in developing/implementing continuous improvement initiatives and accountability programs
  • Demonstrated success assessing, developing and retaining top talent
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements, adhere to budgets, and maintain regulatory compliance
  • Proven ability to lead with the following key competencies: Critical Thinking, Continuous Cost Focus, Technical Expertise, Influence and Delivery of Sustainable Results
  • Bilingual is a plus
