Our Evansville, IN, location is part of our Meat division, and creates various breading, batter, and coating blends for Kerry brands and customers. Key responsibilities


Responsible for making major installations and/or repairs to our production equipment, as well as general maintenance and repairs.  This position possesses strong work ethic as well as ability to take initiative and multi-task.  Oversees work completion by Maintenance Technicians.  Work directly with Production, Quality, Sanitation and Shipping Supervisors and Lead Operators to communicate any issues that may arise.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. PLC troubleshooting using Allen Bradley interfaces
  2. Assist production with machinery issues to prevent downtime
  3. Installation of new equipment
  4. Record completed tasks in maintenance work order system
  5. Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks
  6. Communicate timing of repairs with production department
  7. Know the cleaning requirements for your specific position
  8. Ensure end of shift cleaning is complete prior to departure
  9. Report all Accidents and Near-Misses immediately
  10. Create positive relationships with coworkers
  11. Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications and skills


Must have:

HS Diploma or GED

3+ years in electrical and mechanical maintenance including electrical wiring and controls, welding, plumbing and reading prints

Extensive knowledge of OSHA requirements

Strong organizational skills & excellent communication skills are essential.

Basic computer skills, with the ability to work with Kerry Maintenance systems.  Kerry will train on our specific systems.

Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology  of  the job.

Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal  procedures or instructions.

Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency  and work safely.

Ability to drive for excellence in all areas; focus on effective internal relationships.

Ability to work a flexible schedule
