Where You'll Work
Our Evansville, IN location is part of the Coatings division, and creates various breading, batter, and coating blends for Kerry brands and customers. We currently employ around 165 employees. We are a part of the Evansville Local Labor union 561.
Compensation Data
The typical hiring range for this role is $108,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
What You'll Do
The responsibilities are divided into two major parts-
Engineering
- Lead engineering masterplan for the site and oversee execution of capital projects
- Hold end-to-end accountability for capital execution (scope, budget, schedule and risk management)
- Regularly communicate to stakeholders within and outside the plant on project status
Maintenance
- Lead and coach the maintenance department on key metrics such as breakdowns, reactive vs preventive work, stockroom inventory management, etc.
- Build standard work and train the department to strive towards best-in-class delivery
- Closely collaborate with plant and external stakeholders to meet the plant’s requirements
- Train the team to critically analyze equipment breakdowns and build preventive action plans
- Participate in developing and documenting maintenance plans (corrective, preventive, predictive) for equipment as assigned.
In addition to the above, the Engineering and Maintenance Manager will actively participate in daily direction setting meetings, human safety and food safety programs and various mandatory audits (internal and third party).
What You'll Need To Succeed
- Engineering degree in a relevant area (e.g., mechanical, chemical, electrical).
- Proven experience in maintenance and engineering management within the food manufacturing industry or similar fast-paced production environment. Experience in a union environment is highly desirable.
- Project management experience of greater than $1 million capital highly preferred
- Knowledge of SAP is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team.
- Demonstrated communication, organization, and listening skills to collaborate across functions and levels within the organization
- Excellent attention to detail, structured thinking, and follow through to attain key performance metrics.
- Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks
- Has basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
