What You'll Do
3rd Shift/Working Hours: 10p-630a. There is a .35 cent shift differential for 3rd shift.
The Industrial Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within a food production facility. This role ensures equipment reliability, compliance with food safety standards, and efficient team performance. The Team Lead will manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities, supervise maintenance staff, and collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Supervision Lead and supervise maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to ensure a high-performing maintenance team.
- Maintenance Operations Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine appropriate repair strategies.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Organize and schedule maintenance activities to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation for food safety compliance.
- Technical Expertise Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain and repair automated packaging and processing equipment. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work orders and inventory control. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, HACCP, FSMA, and GMP standards. Enforce Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment to prevent contamination.
- Collaboration & Communication Coordinate with production, quality control, and other departments to schedule maintenance.
- Communicate effectively across teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.
- Inventory & Budget Management Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Assist in preparing and managing maintenance budgets and cost estimates.
What You'll Need To Be Successful And Safe
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment or similar setting
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industrial maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, motor controls, and automated systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
