Our Evansville, IN, location is part of our Coatings division, and creates various breading, batter, and coating blends for Kerry brands and customers. Compensation Data

The starting wage for this role range is  $27.60 to 30.10.  This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime.   In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements). 

What You'll Do

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily1. All work will be completed in compliance with EPA, Hazmat, OSHA, and Kerry safety rules and regulations. Preventive maintenance will be performed as scheduled by the Maintenance planner per Kerry and manufacturer specifications3. All work performed on maintenance work orders, repairs work orders, and new equipment installations, along with hours worked on each work order, will be logged in the SAP per Kerry and manufacturer specifications.

The individual must learn the production process and nuances of equipment to assist production team members. They must follow and comply with all Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices rules and regulations. Departmental housekeeping and plant sanitation must be maintained at a level that meets or exceeds Kerry and regulatory standards7. All repairs and installations must be completed with the Safety, Health, and welfare of all employees and customers in mind.

The individual will perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in troubleshooting. They will actively participate in Predictive maintenance, Continuous Improvement of the Process, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Teams. Maintenance issues that are a Safety or Health hazard or could result in operational downtime must be communicated to managementProjects must be prioritized, or guidance must be requested from Supervisors or Management staff.

Duties include minor troubleshooting equipment, equipment repairs, performing preventive maintenance, and navigating SAP to complete notifications and work orders. Positive relationships with co-workers, Vendors, and Suppliers must be developed and maintained. When necessary, communication with plant visitors or guests must be professional, helpful, and timely to project a positive image of Kerry and its products.

The individual must operate all company computers and software applications in accordance with Kerry's “Electronic Communications Policy. They must comply with all safety and work rules and regulations, and departmental housekeeping standards. Involvement in continuous improvement activities and processes to support organizational progress on safety, quality, customer service, and cost goals is encouraged.

 

What You'll Need To Be Successful

        
    2-year degree in Industrial technology, advanced manufacturing preferred, or equivalent experience.         
               Mechanical repair, general welding, minor electrical troubleshooting.
                                              Must have the ability to work alone and in close cooperation with production personnel.  Capable of working through complex problems alone or with others to provide logical solutions.
