About the role:


The Marketing Manager for UK & Ireland is responsible for coordinating the successful activation of Kerry's End-Use Market (EUM) strategies across the United Kingdom and Ireland, as well as the generation and sharing of local market insight for the purpose of customer innovation initiatives, strategy development and activation planning.

The role has a functional reporting line to the Activation Marketing Director, Europe and Russia, and a business reporting line to the Commercial Director, UK & Ireland. The customer scope includes food & beverage manufacturers and selected major retailers.

This role will manage a team of 2 direct reports: Assistant Marketing Manager, and Marketing Graduate.

Key responsibilities of the role:


  • Develop and manage the UK & Ireland Avtivation Marketing team, to partner effectively with their sales and marketing colleagues in generating significant growth opportunities for Kerry across the territory.
  • Liaise and collaborate with Kerrys 'Central', 'Strategic' and 'Foodservice' and ‘Foundational Technology’ marketing teams to create, adapt and lead the execution of marketing activation programs across the UK & Ireland.
  • Lead the deployment and embedding of Kerry's suite of Digital Customer Engagement tools within the UK & Ireland commercial team, to help make it easier and more valuable for customers to work with Kerry.
  • Build a detailed understanding of consumer trends, market players, industry dynamics and customer challenges across all relevant food and beverage categories and channels in the region.
  • Ensure that Kerry’s differentiated value propositions are clearly tailored and communicated to selected customers.
  • Coordinate the provision of consumer insight and marketing input into concept ideation for specific strategic and customer-focused initiatives.
  • Build and strengthen the Kerry brand and reputation in the UK & Ireland through execution of regional marketing campaigns, trade shows, events and local communication initiatives.
  • Coordinate the preparation for important customer meetings at our Global Technology & Innovation centre and at customer locations across the territory.


  • Facilitate the sharing of knowledge, insight, success stories and other information across the sales and marketing teams within the region and with other regional marketing teams.
  • Network actively across other functions and stakeholders to build a robust understanding of Kerry's commercial operating model, culture, technologies, growth strategy, sustainability programs, market challenges and broad opportunities,
  • Contribute to the development of the Europe & Russia Activation Marketing team, by participating in team meetings and proposing initiatives and processes for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare reports, suggest new business ideas and make recommendations to management regarding strategic initiatives, market issues, challenges and opportunities.

Your Profile:



  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in marketing, business, food science, or related field.
  •  Minimum 5 years’ experience in strategic marketing, preferably in the food and beverage industry and ideally with experience in B2B marketing.
  • Fluency in English language is essential. Fluency or proficiency in other European languages is an advantage for future career opportunities in Kerry.

  • Ability to quickly grasp and become proficient in new concepts, ideas, technologies, markets, tools and ways of working.
  • An enthusiastic attitude towards effectively interacting with many different functions and serving as an active participant on a multinational, multi-functional team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion, including the management of multiple stakeholders (internal and external) and of 3rd party agencies
  • Demonstrated level of expertise in the fundamentals of Marketing and Market Research, Consumer Insights and data analysis.
  • Experience and creativity in preparing and hosting successful client meetings.
  • A passion for actively engaging across the business, building partnerships based on trust and integrity.
