About the role

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Operative to join the Kerry Taste and Nutrition Team in Cam, Gloucestershire on a permanent basis.

Job Description

 

This role is a multi-departmental function intending to lead out or provide support in completion of tasks in the following areas:

 

  • Goods In/Out (Site Hygiene, Production Support, Warehouse)
  • To ensure all incoming Raw Materials are checked, identified and labelled before being booked into the Factory systems and all finished product is correctly loaded and despatched ready for onward delivery.
  • A hands-on role with hygiene ensuring that all areas throughout the site are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, daily GMP, completion of cleaning schedules and all areas free from pest activity or other contamination.
  • To support manufacturing areas as requested to produce a finished packed product, following packing instructions and to customer specifications.
  • Supporting in the review of process order completion & reconciliation of any remaining inventories to avoid stock inaccuracy & write offs
  • To fully optimise all racked areas and ensured site zoning for raw materials, finished goods & packaging are correctly managed. This includes regular management of all stock items to ensure accuracy maintained at all times. Also ensuring pallet space optimisation is correctly controlled to minimise any impact on production or third-party cost.
  • Liaison with key supply chain contacts to ensure end to end business operation is consistently managed and that no customer or production shortages are actively measured.

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Good communicator
  • Ability to work unsupervised for long periods of time
  • To work within Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Good IT skills, SAP skills essential
  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to train & operate various lifting equipment
  • An understanding of general manufacturing processes.
  • Valid Forklift truck (Counterbalance) License beneficial
  • PPT & Scissor lift experience beneficial
  • COSHH
