About the role:

Our Delta BC location is part of our Liquid Beverage division and has roughly 70 employees.We are looking for someone to help us keep things running! We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician. The schedule for this role is 3:30AM – 12:00PM

What you'll do:

You’ll work with the Maintenance Manager to complete building repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting and installation, fulfillment of assigned work orders and unforeseen repairs in a timely fashion. You’ll follow good manufacturing practices to maintain inventory, preventative maintenance, good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations. Important areas of operations you’ll work on (but are not limited to):

  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery
  • Calibrate and operate pH meters, refractometers, digital and mechanical scales
  • Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic steam, pneumatic equipment
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment
  • Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep
  • Monitor non-inventory production supplies
  • Support the SQF Food Safety and Quality System by implementing and following procedures, taking part in GMP inspections and internal audits, and participating in training.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical degree or certification preferred
  • 1-3 years minimum experience working in a production/manufacturing environment, preferrably in food/bev/pharm industry
  • Knowledge nad understanding of GMP and HACCP programs
  • Mechanical knowledge of high speed production equipment and sanitation requirements
  • Knowledge of all hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of electrical, electronic, logic and programmable devices
  • Able to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures (mechanical and electrical)
  • Able to effectively communicate with co-workers and plant management
  • Able to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
