About the role

Salary: 21-22$/hour

Schedule:2nd shift (1pm-9:30pm)

Key responsibilities

 

• Ability to learn and/or operate the following equipment shear mixers, pumps, processing valves, process controls, & HTST processing
• Accurately weigh and blend various components to a specified formula
• Accurate mathematical conversions
• Accurately record components and lot numbers added to each batch
• Able to follow the instructions on the PO, with proper mix time and order of ingredient addition to make consistent batches
• Ability and willingness to follow plant, quality, safety, environmental and security policies and guidelines
• Ability to operate manual and/or electric pallet jacks and forklifts
• Ability to accurately complete and record all batch tests (Brix, pH, color, flavor, taste, temperature, acidity measure using a titrating apparatus)
• Perform other related tasks as required.

Qualifications and skills

• Knowledge of food production, GMPs, food safety and sanitation standards required
• Strong verbal and written English
• Superior communication skills
• Able to work unsupervised, as well as working together with others
• Good organizational, communication and mathematical skills
• Have a strong mechanical aptitude and comfortable with learning an ERP system
• Ability and willingness to follow, plant Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Security policies and guidelines
• Able to work flexible hours, overtime and week-ends as required
