Where you'll work

This is a remote based role with preferred locations in Dallas, San Antonio OR Austin TX.  Travel approximately 60%.


The National Account Manager, Direct to Retail will be responsible for positioning and promoting Kerry’s product portfolio with retail / grocery customers primarily in TX, FL, ID & CA. 

What you'll do

We will count on you to work extensively with the customer’s buying team to design customized and value-added finished store brand product solutions. You should be entrepreneurial and have a desire to treat this account as their own business.  Creativity, value proposition selling and excellent customer management skills are needed to continue, support and grow existing platforms and identify new categories where value-added products can be created.  You will need to speak confidently about the manufacturing / supply chain process and Kerry’s capabilities, while matching these capabilities to the retails objectives.

  • Prospect and “close” new business opportunities through standard product, custom product and integrated solution selling.  Pro-actively defend current business.
  • Item Recaps/Updates, 4/13/YTD Reports (by Category), 4/13/YTD Reports (entire business), Item Detail Reporting, Weekly Feature Sell Thru, Promotional Reporting/Tracking, New Item Trackers (every modular change), Hurdle Rate Trackers, Scorecards, Zone Pricing Update, Execution of Trade Strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to increase volumes and decrease cost to improve ROI of all activities.
  • Manage a large portfolio of diverse projects across Kerry functions in order to service retail customers using Salesforce.
  • Provide innovative, customer focused ideas to retail customers by understanding their brands, platforms and strategies.
  • Develop and expand on strong strategic relationships within retail customers R&D, Marketing and Sourcing and foster counterpart relationships within Kerry.
There are some items you will need to be successful
  • 4 year College Degree  (Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field desirable)
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience supporting Direct to Retail (ie Whole Foods. Albertsons, Publix) and its divisions 
  • Private Label/Store Brand experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Salesforce.com, Nielsen reporting and Spectra Data.
  • Understand manufacturing / self-manufacturing retailer operations & supply chain experience highly desired.
  • Willingness to travel to other Kerry office and manufacturing facilities in addition to the offices and manufacturing facilities of the customer up to 60% of the time.  Other travel may be required on an ad hoc basis.
