About the role
Primary Purpose:
Operates the hydraulic dump for unloading sawdust trailer.
Transfers all dust from the unloading ramp to the dust storage area.
Moves dust from storage area and fills dust bin (continuously keeps the dust bin full).
Keeps the outside sawdust bin loaded for sawdust bagging.
Operates the dust dryer system controls.
Key responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Fills the front end loader with gas daily.
• Keeps the dust ramp clean.
• Keeps shavings shoveled in a pile & removes, as required.
• Assists in the maintenance of the furnaces and auxiliary equipment.
• Keeps gear oil checked on the reducer.
• Greases all fittings, screws, etc. on the dryer drum and associated equipment.
• Cleans out dust system cyclone (removes excess dust from walls, etc.).
• Load and unload char as needed.
• Maintains current & accurate logs for the dryer operation (dust bins, fuel, temperatures, etc.).
• Maintains a neat, clean and organized sawdust storage area & dryer room by cleaning daily.
• Keeps daily logs for sawdust received.
• Keeps drum dryer area clean and safe.
• Support Regulatory and SQF requirements by maintaining food safety and food quality through GMP’s, completing job tasks and maintaining sanitary work areas
• Complies with all corporate safety and environmental regulations and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability kneel, bend, squat, stoop, carry, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, arm extensions and perform elevated work.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Abilility to work overtime and use a flexible schedule.
• PFT & respirator fit test required
• Working at heights / climbing ladders
Work Environment
Ability to work in hot, cold or wet environments.
