Kerry is currently seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Sales Director for the West Coast region. This role is anchored to our Commerce, CA site and will focus on driving flavor growth and partnerships specifically within the Beverage end-use market. We are looking for an entrepreneurial-minded sales leader, readily established in the market, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels in building and sustaining strategic customer relationships.
A hunter at heart, this leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the future of Kerry’s Beverage commercial activities with a strong emphasis on developing regional customer relationships and bringing Kerry’s differentiated flavour, extracts, modulation, citrus oils and Replacer Technology to market. Travel requirement will be 50% or higher.
Key responsibilities
· Leadership and Strategy: Develop and execute a sales strategy tailored to the Beverage Taste market, with a strong emphasis on sustainable nutrition and Kerry’s cutting-edge solutions.
· Customer Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor to key accounts, fostering long-term partnerships to drive mutual business growth.
· New Business Development: Identify, target, and convert new business opportunities with a hunter mindset. Proactively engage with potential clients and demonstrate Kerry's value proposition.
· Team Leadership and Development : Build, Motivate, Coach, and Lead a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with Kerry’s strategic goals and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
· Market Expertise: Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs within the beverage space, positioning Kerry as a leader in sustainable and innovative solutions.
· Performance Tracking: Establish and track clear KPIs and sales targets, ensuring accountability and delivering measurable results.
Qualifications and skills
· 15+ years of proven sales leadership experience, preferably within the food and beverage industry/ BS Degree or Higher Required
Deep understanding of the Beverage Taste market and expertise in solutions like Modulation, Citrus, Flavors & Extracts, Coffee, and Crystals™.
· Demonstrated success in new business development and fostering strategic partnerships.
· Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Passion for sustainable nutrition and innovation.
