About the role

We are looking for a RD&A technologist for our RD&A team located in Coleraine.

As member of a very busy team, the person will collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure successful launches are achieved on time and to budget.

 

The individual will manage RD&A new product and packaging developments, ensuring that accurate and timely information is supplied to the associated site teams as well as to the customer.

Key responsibilities

  • Owner of Product development from customer brief, scale up trials & customer launch.
  • Responsible for co-ordinating NPD recipes on Optiva along with required paperwork
  • Lead in raw material & supplier approval in MDG in line with site process
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Co-ordinate RD&A commercialization process between customer and commercialization team
  • Support site packaging, regulatory and quality team with the artwork process.
  • Maintain customer Focus for ingredient and packaging developments within the marketplace.
  • Sample Creation and dispatch to customers
  • Remain fully flexible to meet business requirement

Qualifications and skills

  • Degree in Food Science (or related topic) or previous relevant experience in the Food /Manufacturing Industry
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in SAP and Optiva systems an advantage
  • Fluency in English
  • Able to work accurately and quickly in a fast-moving environment
  • Able to work on your own initiative and pay attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills and excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team
