About the role

 

Kerry is looking for a RD&A Technologist for its site in Coleraine, Northern Ireland.

PURPOSE
Work with the wider R&D team and operations team to drive the projects through the development process in a timely manner. To win in the market by providing relevant product design to create brilliant recipes that will be loved by our customers and deliver commercially for the business. To achieve success, it is critical that the R&D Technologist works cross-functionally to ensure that all concepts / recipes developed are aligned with the business strategy. 

Key responsibilities

 

•    Co-ordinate project briefs from customers though the NPI Salesforce process to gain site approval
•    Owner of Product developments from bench top through to scale up trials with site.
•    Responsible for creating and managing project critical paths
•    Responsible for maintain and updating the NPD recipes in the Optiva system 
•    Owner of new packaging development trials in conjunction with the site Process Technologist
•    Responsible for the co-ordination of NPD paperwork 
•    Responsible for leading raw material set up in MDG including collating of correct paperwork
•    Responsible for leading new supplier set up in MDG in line with site approved supplier process
•    Co-ordinate RD&A commercialisation process between customer and commercialization team
•    Support site packaging, regulatory and quality team with the artwork process. 
•    Maintain customer Focus for ingredient and packaging developments within the market place
•    Sample Creation and dispatch to customers 

Qualifications and skills

 

 

  • Degree in Food Science (or related topic) desirable or previous relevant experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry 
  • Product / Packaging development
  • Sourcing of Ingredients/Produce
  • Passionate about food
