About the role

Our Coleraine site is in Co Londonderry, NI and is the largest processed cheese manufacturer in the UK. It manufactures individually wrapped slices of cheese for the retail trade and cheese slices for catering and fast food sectors.

We currently have vacancies for 2 Engineering Team Members, working 12 hour shifts across days and nights to support the 4 manufacturing plants.

Key responsibilities

As an Engineering team member, you will be responsible for planned maintenance work to be carried out in line with PPM schedules, you will carry out reactive repairs to keep the plants fully operational. You will use fault finding methods to ensure root causes are found and resolved. You will be driven to improve reliability figures across the site and be actively involved in new installations, commissioning and ramp up.  You will be part of the site energy reduction team reducing our CO2/TTO while supporting the Quality and Operations functions. You will be required to carry out PTW and LOTOTO for safe methods of work.

Qualifications and skills

You will have a time served apprenticeship in electrical, mechatronic or electrical maintenance discipline with a working knowledge of PLC control.

You will need strong verbal & written communication skills and be able to manage your time effectively.

A background in Food Manufacturing would be an advantage.
