Where you'll work:

Our Clark, NJ location is part of our Beverage division and creates flavor ingredients and beverages for Kerry customers and brands. Using state-of-the-art analytical and sensory capabilities, we're able to create and process different flavor blends, extractions, distillations, emulsions, and essential oils for your favorite foods and beverages! Clark is one of our largest sites producing 20 million pounds of product a year! What you'll do:

As part of the Kerry's North America Taste Regulatory Scientific Affairs team this role will provide regulatory and technical expertise in the application and commercialization of new flavor technologies.  The ideal candidate will bring strategic regulatory partnership to our teams which strengthens and protects Kerry Taste brand equity and compliance. We are looking for a team-minded individual with strong communication skills and flavor expertise that will bring a positive and collaborative approach to our Kerry Taste Regulatory team! 

•  Understand flavors with modification properties/taste modification technology while applying regulatory expertise
•   Provide regulatory advisement and author documentation to internal and external partners both for domestic and international products sold.
•   Participate in trade association/committees as needed to help influence and support industry norms and internally communicate regulatory policy.
•   Identify and develop solutions to key regulatory challenges for project ranging from bench top prototypes to large scale commercialization. 
•   Interface and build strategic networks and effective working relationships with regulatory partners, internal and external
•   Provide regulatory expertise and drive strong partnerships with functional groups within the company such as Quality, R&D, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sensory
•   Translate research findings into meaningful opportunities as a strategic regulatory partner
•   Manage multiple assignments/research projects concurrently and possess the ability to prioritize


What you'll need to be successful:

  •  BS/MS in Food Science, Chemistry, Animal Science, or related discipline
  •  Minimum of 5 years of relevant food/flavor regulatory or related experience
  •  Extensive understanding of flavor/food regulations as related to delivery systems including emulsions, extractions, and other applications
  • Experience working with Flavor & Extract Manufacturing Association (FEMA) 
  • Strong knowledge in FDA/USDA regulations pertaining to food, flavors and dietary supplement applications
  • Global expertise a must
  • Travel 10-15% required
