About the role

The R&D Flavor Technician plays a key role in assisting flavorists into flavor compounding liquid and powder, raw material library maintenance, by supporting Kerry Flavorists in project work. The R&D Flavor Technician will help the flavorist to support customer’s project by compounding flavors in liquid and powdered formats. The R&D Flavor Technician will help the flavorist to support operation’s requests by compounding and running identified tests. The R&D Flavor Technician will support flavorist in systems (MDG, ECC, SFDC)

What will you do?

•  Compound a broad range of flavors such as simple mixtures, extracts, emulsions, spray dries, and powder blends in support of sample requests and project needs to fulfill briefs
•  Perform physical, chemical, and organoleptic testing and analysis of flavors
•  Train on relevant regulatory and labeling requirements for flavors
•  Support flavorists on various flavor projects both internal and external
•  Work with cross functional team to optimize the strengths of Kerry and deliver the best Taste and Nutrition experience for our customers
•  Participate in sensory panels and other developmental opportunities
•  Process the raw materials and finished flavors through the different Kerry systems to maintain active status
•  Maintain inventory of raw materials and lab supplies
•  Maintain lab organization
•  Support flavorist to enter MDG, SFDC, ECC requests

What will you need to be successful?

•  B.Sc. in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field
•  2 years' experience working in a flavor lab environment

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $51,261 to $75,000 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements.
