Where you'll work:

Our Clark, NJ location is part of our Beverage division and creates flavor ingredients and beverages for Kerry customers and brands. Using state-of-the-art analytical and sensory capabilities, we're able to create and process different flavor blends, extractions, distillations, emulsions, and essential oils for your favorite foods and beverages! Clark is one of our largest sites producing 20 million pounds of product a year! What you'll do:

  • HACCP and Pre-requisite Systems (cGMP)
  • Site Threat Assessment and Critical Control Point (TACCP) and Vulnerability Assessment and Critical Control Point (VACCP) - Analysis and Maintenance
  • Site Allergen Management System including Raw Material Risk Assessment
  • New Product Introduction (transferring ownership from RD&A to Production) - Product Specification and Processing Parameters Reproducibility (3X Minimum)
  • Maintenance and Control of Recipe / Formulation / BOM (Bill of Materials)
  • Verify and Support Production Material Testing on the Production Floor (Calibration, Gold Standards, Technical Consultations, etc.)
  • Management of Non-Conformances from Vendors (Raw Materials)
  • External Testing of Samples when Applicable
  • Management of Non-Conforming Materials and Processes including Re-work and Disposition
  • Lead Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis
  • Internal Audit and Inspection Program
  • Shelf-Life Extension of Raw Materials, Intermediate Products and Finish Products
  • Be a Presence on the Processing / Factory Floors (North, South and Berry) to Support and Facilitate Improvements as well as to Ensure that all GMP, HACCP and any other Programs / Systems are being Properly Followed.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Minimum 5-10 years of quality experience and/or training.
  • Experience managing quality and food safety systems.
  • Experience in a plant environment strongly preferred.
  • Management experience
  • HACCP/food safety experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing of food, chemical, or Pharmaceutical products is a must
  • Knowledge and experience with quality management systems, GFSI audit standards, SSOPs, Environmental hygiene programs, prerequisite programs, and HACCP.
  • SAP is highly preferred.

Education

Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or similar Science/Engineering. Knowledge and experience with relevant GFSI standards such as SQF, BRC, IFS or FS 22000.
