About the role

Do you thrive in a  fast-paced team environment and work closely with production and other colleagues? The Lab Technician makes quick decisions and uses sound judgement  to make rational decisions pertaining to recommended adjustments, corrective actions and disposition of goods. This role is a 1st shift position.

 

Do you have a good nose? You'll be  exposed to and smell a variety of flavor products, essential oils and raw materials.

 

Accuracy Counts! You'll be responsible for  conducting required tests, analysis, and/or verification steps to assure that raw materials, batched product, and finished product exceeds established quality standards. The Lab Technician verifies conformity through measurement and assessment. 

Strong attention to detail is a must! Strict adherence to procedures, policies, and instructions. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Working weekends or holidays may be necessary

 

Qualifications and skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required. College Diploma or University Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or relevant science is desired
  • 1-3 years in food,  pharmaceutical industry, or  manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Experience with GMP, HACCP, FSMA, FCC/USP/ASTA test methods, aseptic technique and food or pharmaceutical production is desired.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for majority of shift/long periods of time.
  • Understanding of basic computer functions, experience with Microsoft Office® suite of products is desired.
  • Experience with laboratory information management systems is desired.
