Where you'll work

Our Beloit, WI location is home to our Corporate Headquarters for the North American Region. This location has approximately 700 employees at this location that in roles such as regulatory, RD&A, finance, procurement, supply chain and customer care. It is easily commutable from the Rockford, Madison, and Milwaukee areas.   The ideal candidate would work remotely and be located either on the east coast or the midwest.

Key responsibilities

  • You will maintain and grow existing business with customers and identify new opportunities for significant growth. 
  • You will develop a plan outlining the strategy necessary to earn business as well as bring value to the customers in order to positively differentiate Kerry as a supplier.
  • You will possess a thorough and comprehensive understanding of Kerry’s product lines.
  • You will develop an excellent knowledge of the customers within your customer base – with several contacts from multiple disciplines within the company.  (Strong networking skills.)  Have an understanding of your customers’ plans for growth, and plan how we can help the customer achieve their goals.
  • You will establish Kerry as a long-term supplier at accounts by developing, maintaining and expanding strong customer working relationships at multiple levels and functions. Utilize both direct contact, and relevant trade organization events to build relationships.
  • You will have a deep understanding the technology - the customers, competitors, market trends, key market dynamics that influence our success.
  • Influence the innovation requirements and managing through the Kerry innovation funnel & process.
  • Execute commercial plan, support sales team to build commercial pipeline & lead execution of key projects & presentations.
  • Schedule and lead Kerry’s efforts related to presentations and product demonstrations to strategic and key customers (when applicable)
  • Acquire a thorough and comprehensive understanding of your sales figures – including providing accurate explanations for any significant variances versus prior year or budget.
  • Utilize Sales and Marketing Support functions to assist sales efforts as well as develop and build company image and presence as primary supplier at key customers. Provide competitive and customer-based market information on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications and skills

  • BS in Food Science desired or a degree within a related discipline.
  • Flavors expertise with focus on stocks and broths.
  • Five+ years successful food / meat industry sales experience.
  • Excellent time-management skills and strategic-thinking skills.
  • Always be a professional, organized, and well-spoken.  Ability to be tactful and diplomatic in difficult situations.  Present yourself (and Kerry) in the best possible manner.
  • Salesforce expertise would be a plus.
  • Overnight travel is estimated to be ~ 25% - 50% post COVID.
