Business Development Manager, Remote USA.

This role will be responsible for driving sustaining growth within our USA market for high quality dairy products in our direct to retail and private label business.
The USA market has become a key destination for the Irish Dairy Industry, with annual exports close on €400 M, more than a two-fold increase over the last few years.  The purpose of the Business Development Manager is to partner with our local commercial team to gain better understanding of our market & consumer preference to leverage commercial opportunities to achieve our growth ambition.  

What would you do?

  • Evaluate in store the current Kerry Dairy business and share findings.
  • Create a plan to optimize current sales.
  • Source market data, analyze, share insights and turn into actionable.
  • Engage in Competitor analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Teams, identify, and target new retailers and quantify opportunity.
  • Partner with DTR (direct to retail) Team, schedule and attend customer meetings.
  • In conjunction with Marketing, create market leading Customer presentations.
  • Build and deliver volume and revenue Budgets each year.
  • Share forecasts and performance updates.
  • Work closely with the integrated planning and supply chain teams - in US & Ireland to ensure 100% supply.
  • In store audits, sourcing product samples.
  • Identify other potential Dairy opportunities in the market.
  • Regular meetings and updates with the Dairy International Team.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Food Science is a significant advantage.
  • 4+ years of direct Sales or Commercial Experience; dairy industry is highly preferable.
  • Skill set in relationship building & delivering to an agreed target.
  • Commercial understanding balanced with market and consumer insights.
  • Knowledge in category management or Nielsen tools management is highly preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit & comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Drive for results and Customer Focus oriented.
  • Ability to work remote, cross-functional, global team environment.
  • Availability to travel 60% of time.
  • The preferred location for this role is Chicago area, but any location in USA close to an international airport is a good fit.
