About the role

We are seeking a high-performing Account Manager for the North America to capitalize market potential within the region. The ideal candidate will have core expertise in food manufacturing sales, with a focus on nurturing and growing base business within the Snacks categories (confectionery, bars, and cereals).

Passionately pursuing new growth opportunities is essential to achieving our ambitious goals in this sector. 

Key responsibilities

  • Develop a holistic sales strategy to drive business growth, consistently meeting revenue and margin targets.
  • Prospect and grow new accounts aligned with strategic objectives. 
  • Act as the face of Kerry, understanding customer needs, priorities, and ambitions. Leverage our relevant know-how and broad technology portfolio to help customers achieve their goals. 
  • Advocate for the customer within Kerry, informing our go-to-market strategy and optimizing production capacity for sustainable, profitable volume. 
  • Defend and expand our sizable base of core business. 
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage a healthy pipeline of growth opportunities through market research and critical insights. 
  • Lead negotiations with customers for savory and sweet bars, confectionery snacks business. 
  • Foster intimate relationships both with customers and within Kerry, facilitating cross-functional connections. 
  • Uncovering, cultivating and managing a healthy pipeline of growth opportunities through market segment research and critical business insights, progressing opportunities through the pipeline and converting to business wins.
     

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in business, sciences, or engineering fields. 
  • 5+ years of commercial experience in food ingredient manufacturing; specifically in savory or sweet flavors, seasonings, or colors for the Snacks market. 
  • Proven experience on building and growing business opportunities within the market.
  • Tech-selling skills as well as commercial and Financial acumen.
  • Must demonstrate Kerry’s core values of Courage, Ownership, Inclusiveness, Open-mindedness, and Enterprising Spirit in all aspects of the role.
  • Self-starter with intrinsic motivation, capable of charting their own course. 
  • Proficient in remote/hybrid work, collaborating effectively using digital tools (MS Teams, Zoom). 
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment. 
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel and visit customers. 
  • Preferred location: Midwest USA.

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $89,175 to $134,983 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc.  In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
