About the role

Key responsibilities

The Kerry Agribusiness ICT team is responsible for  maintaining and developing systems to support the needs of Kerry Agribusiness.

 

  • The role will involve the support and maintenance of various systems within Kerry Agribusiness including POS, Milk Assembly, Milk Payments, Stores Trading and Sales Analysis.
  • This is a role that will require working closely with the business to agree requirements, document functional design and specifications, manage projects and complete testing and implementation.
  • Develop, maintain, test and implement software
  • Analyse and document existing business processes with a view to establishing more efficient and effective business processes.
  • Work closely with key users and management to identify and document business weaknesses and efficiency opportunities
  • Work with fellow ICT team members to implement systems and process solutions as agreed with management
  • Effective communication to senior management on project status and ensuring adherence to agreed roadmaps
  • Manage and co-ordinate the delivery of such solutions to the end user community across Kerry Agribusiness

Qualifications and skills

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role .
  • A working knowledge of SQL ideally in an Oracle environment
  • Project Mangement/ leadership experience on a least one major ICT project.
  • Experience of understaning both business & ICT needs and methodologies
  • Competence with MS Office Products ( Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Experience of implementing ICT systems in a similiar environment

 

Desirable Experience

  • A working knowlege of Oracle Forms and Reports
  • A working knowledge of PL/SQL
  • Basic Unix knowledge
  • Oracle DBA Skills
  • Toad for Oracle

Skills/ Aptitudes

  • Strong analytical capabiliites , including quantitative and qualitative assessment skills and critical thinking skils
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills with a broad knowledge of ERP systems

Qualificiations

  • Primary Degree in an ICT related discipline
