Key responsibilities

  • Design, establish and manage on-farm sustainability projects
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Interpret research findings and prepare scientific and popular press publications.
  • Assess transferability and potential for uptake of practices and technologies developed across the project
  • Engage with and build rapport with project partners, farmers and advisors.
  • Work as part of a team, collaborating and building relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications and skills

  • Educational background in agricultural science, applied sciences or related discipline
  • Relevant research experience
  • Demonstrated research and technical expertise in field work and statistical analysis
  • Evidence of research activity - publications, conference presentations, awards
  • Excellent project management, analytical, report writing and data analysis skills
  • An ability to collaborate with team members
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation) with an ability to enable effective knowledge and technology transfer
  • Ability to generate new ideas, unique concepts, models and solutions
