About the role
We are recruiting an Area Office Administrator for our Castleisland office. You will be the first point of contact for farmers, customers, and visitors, managing queries, coordinating activities, and ensuring smooth communication. From organising meetings and events to handling milk testing logistics and office administration, you’ll keep things running efficiently. The role suits someone who enjoys variety, thrives on building relationships, and can solve problems quickly in a busy, supportive environment.
This is a full-time (Mon–Fri, 9:00–17:30), permanent and onsite role.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for farmers, customers, and visitors—answering calls, managing emails, and greeting guests.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, document processing, and maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinate milk sample collection and communicate results to farmers.
- Organise meetings and events, including venue booking and hospitality arrangements.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies (e.g., Department of Agriculture) and manage compliance documentation.
- Handle office logistics such as ordering protective clothing, maintaining Health & Safety folders, and managing staff rotas.
- Support programme administration, including processing statements for the Evolve program and onboarding new entrants and partnerships.
Qualifications and skills
- Proven experience in an administrative or customer care role, ideally within the agricultural sector
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and assist with ad-hoc tasks to keep operations running smoothly
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn.
