About the role

Here at Kerry, we have an exciting permanent opportunity for an Environmental Technologist onsite in Carrigaline, Cork.

Carrigaline is the primary site for the manufacture and distribution of enzymes and brewing ingredients worldwide. The site employs in excess of 85 people and as a centre of excellence, holds several accreditations including, Global Standard for Food Safety (BRC), ISO9001, ISO14001, Excellence Through People Gold Standard.

To be successful in this role you will be familiar with ISOO1401 - Environment Management standards, posses a subject related degree and ideally be able to demonstrate previous post graduate experience in a similar role.

This opportunity would suit a candidate who are looking to expand their knowledge and remit within the HSE function and could provide future opportunities to move laterally into Safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Environmental Monitoring and Reporting (daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly waste water testing)
  • Environmental Impact Assessments
  • Contract Management 
  • Waste Permits, License and Management 
  • Air Emissions Licenses
  • Effluent Discharge Licenses
  • Environmental Auditing
  • ISO14001 Management 
  • Environmental Monitoring (dust & ammonia)

Qualifications and skills

  • Third level degree qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering or related subject
  • Ideally 3 years post graduate experience in a similar role
  • Detailed knowledge of Irish and European Environmental Legislation is essential
