About the role

 This position has an emphasis on  evaluations and raw material verification based on COA review, and this role supports all other quality positions in the plant.  You'll work the night shift 6pm-6am, rotating days.               

Do you like developing and maintaining procedures which assure food safety and food quality?


Our quality department is critical to the organization, assisting with a critical and complex issues such as: ingredient and packaging control, product testing and product release, product disposition system and rework control, HACCP, weight control, manufacturing procedures, aged inventory policy and may include systems and sanitation audits.


Accuracy counts in this role! and we are looking for someone who appreciates and understands the importance of precision, correctness, and someone who will not cave under pressure.


This is a complex and fast paced environment and you’ll be:

  • Leading and assisting plant self-inspection teams and plant safety inspections
  • HACCP certifications along with annual and continual HACCP reviews
  • Maintaining the SQF system, Food Safety Programs, and Food Quality Programs
  • Testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process and compiling and evaluating statistical data to determine and maintain quality, reliability, and safety of products
  • Conducts trending analysis and leads follow through
  • This position has an emphasis on Sensory panel evaluations and raw material verification based on COA review

If you are up to the challenge, you’ll need these qualifications to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a science based degree
  • 4 + years related experience and/or training in a food/beverage manufacturing environment
  • Experience maintaining all or some: LIMS, SQF system, Food Safety Programs, and Food Quality Programs
  • GFSI experience such as SQF, BRC, IFS or FS 22000
  • Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with computer applications such as Excel and Word
