Where will you work?

Our Calhoun, GA location is part of our Meat division and uses unique proprietary technology developed by Kerry to create breading and coating blends for our customers and products. We're excited to install two additional lines in 2020, contributing to the growth of our business and future!

What will you do?

  • Work closely with the Quality Manager to help develop and maintain qualified personnel within the plant.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining procedures which assure product and service quality including ingredient and packaging control, product testing and clearance, product disposition system and rework control, HACCP, weight control, manufacturing procedures, aged inventory policy and may include systems and sanitation audits.
  • Communicate and enforce Kerry standards in the areas of ingredient and product standards, process specifications, formula compliance, sanitation/GMP/pest control and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with the technical support and direction to the plant to address process improvements and customer complaint corrective actions.
  • Assist with the investigation and introduce opportunities for new technology and efficiencies in the Quality function.
  • Assist Quality Manager with third party audits.
  • Lead and assist plant self-inspection team and plant safety inspections.
  • HACCP certification along with annual and continual HACCP reviews.
  • Lead and assist in conducting mock recalls. Participate in Tier II meetings.
  • Determine rework issues/plans.
  • Assist Quality Manager in setting up Quality Improvement Plans (QIP).
  • Prepare of key performance indicator (KPI) reports each period.
  • Issuing, updating and training on plant specific work instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the SQF system, Food Safety Programs, and Food Quality Programs.
  • Ability to work with specific computer software and hardware.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment and functionality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology, chemistry, or related.
  • 2 years of quality experience ideally in food / beverage manufacturing and / or food industry related (pharmaceutical, nutraceuticals, food packaging).
  • Certifications in HACCP, PCQI and Intentional Adulteration are a nice to have.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems a plus (SAP, INTELEX, etc.).
  • Availability to work 3rd shift (9 PM - 5:30 AM, M-F).

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $62,906 to $92,755 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
