What This Role Is:

 

The Wrap Desk Operator is responsible for the operation, cleaning, and light maintenance of the equipment that finishes the product for commercial distribution.  The Wrap Desk operator  is also responsible for wrapping pallets, writing up the pallet tags (unique identifier), RF scanning the pallets, writing up the production and trailer tallies and inspecting product to ensure adherence to specifications. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and works with the production and shipping teams.

What You'll Do:

 

  • Data-entry of SKU, lot code, and expiration date information onto appropriate forms, documentation, and RF system.
  • Verification of materials and codes to ensure adherence to specifications and record necessary information on appropriate forms.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of equipment in accordance with operation manuals and plant SOP’s.
  • Operation of Wrap Desk includes but not limited to the automatic shrink wrapper, RF scanner, and label printer.
  • General support of plant production and quality assigned by plant leadership.
  • Attend all safety meetings, report any safety incidents/accidents and understand and follow all Company and Plant Safety policies and Procedures.
  • Support for the SQF 2000 System.
  • Trained in the Kerry HACCP program in order to identify critical steps and their instructions critical to effective implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety Plan.
  • Operate Fork Lift once safety certified

What You'll Need:

 

  • High School or Equivalent
  • Basic math and computer skills, read, write & speak English
  • Must have good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that is subject to temperature variance
