What You'll Do:

 

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for keeping the facility and grounds visibly clean, equipment internally and externally clean. This includes cleaning common areas, trash pick-up and removal, supporting the production team with running cleaning chemicals through processing equipment to maintain food-grade sanitation. We offer multiple career paths, training in GMP, HACCP, food safety and food production related subjects.  

 

  • Cleaning duties as set out on the master sanitation schedule for floors, drains, walls perimeters in the plant and warehouse meeting company, customer and government standards
  • Daily cleaning: i.e. common areas, tanks, pipes and equipment, (some CIP and COP) and filling room floor.
  • Safe handling and documentation of chemicals used.
  • Removal and emptying of production garbage and debris
  • Maintain all sanitation documents in accordance with plant quality and safety requirements.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Previous experience in the food or chemical processing industry and GMPs (preferred). 
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing sanitation requirements ideal.
  • Able to work unsupervised, as well as working together with others.
  • Good organizational and mathematical skills.
  • Ability and willingness to follow, plant Quality, Safety and Security policies and guidelines.
  • Able to effectively communicate with co-workers and plant management.
  • Have a good mechanical aptitude.
