What This Role Is:


The Downline Operator reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for all down stream equipment, including all associated conveyors, the straw applicator, the multi-wrapper, accumulator, labelers, Combitop applicator and case packers. You'll be making sure that the assembled and ready to ship.

What You'll Do:


  • This position is responsible for ensuring optimum quality of the assembled and sealed package.
  • Responsible for following all food safety regulations.
  • Maintain optimum downline performance producing a quality product.
  • Notify other team members of a malfunction anytime the equipment on the line goes down for more than a few seconds by surging on or off until assistance from other coworkers is available.
  • Work surge back on the line in a timely manner.
  • Label rework and complete the rework in a timely manner, including taking it back to the processing area to be reprocessed.
  • Minimize product waste by making operator adjustments to eliminate damage to the product.
  • Keep work area free from possible safety hazards, taking immediate action to eliminate hazards when they are identified or reporting them to the Production Supervisor.
  • Address and correct all mechanical issues that may prevent the line from running quality product at top performance.
  • Follow and abide by all safety regulations, good manufacturing practices (GMP) and IA policies and procedures as determined by management.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and GMP by keeping work area clean, neat and organized.

What You'll Need:


  • High School or Equivalent
  • Basic math and computer skills, read, write & speak English
  • Must have good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that is subject to temperature variance
