What you'll do

  • The Quality Specialist reports directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor(s). 
  • Primary position responsibilities include supporting successful integration of quality programs and continuous improvement within the company.   
  • This is a key position within the QA department structure serving as Intelex usage specialist, SAP data review, inventory specialist for lab supplies and paperwork, collecting and shipping sample request for R&D, regulatory compliance assistance, assistance with commercialization/plant trials, and coverage of QA lab where needed. 
  • The Quality Manufacturing Support Coordinator  will work with other members of the QA team to write SOPs, investigate product nonconformance’s, customer complaints, operational issues, and assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions with verification follow-up. 

What you'll need

  1. 4 year degree or 2 year degree with related work experience of at least 2 years preferred.
  2. 3-5 years’ experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment as a QA   Technician (preferred).
  3. Demonstrates strong commitment to quality and process improvement by being an active contributor to the programs.
  4. Good technical skills particularly in the area of laboratory and quality management. 
  5. Strong mathematical aptitude for potential statistical process control.
  6. Must be proficient in Word, Excel and MS Office programs.
  7. Ability to communicate findings and provide solutions verbally and in report format.
  8. Must have excellent verbal communications and problem resolution skills.
  9. Ability to work within time constraints and complete tasks within specified timeframes or by deadlines.
  10. Attention to detail with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  11. Self-motivated and team orientated
  12. High level of integrity, model for the rest of the department.
  13. Ability to work weekends and various shifts as the needs of the business dictate.
  14. Ability to work a split shift (i.e. 1st into 2nd)
