About the role

 

Work Location: Butterworth, Penang (MALAYSIA)
Reporting To:    Senior Commercialization Specialist

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for preparation, communication, coordination and gather relevant information for Commercialization & Improvement trials
  • Record, validate and communicate all production data, production issues encountered, QA results after plant trials. Complete a brief pre-trial and post-trial checklist/report
  • Identify the possible issues in a proactive manner communicating to R&D and facilitates/trouble shoots challenges during NPI process and works directly with R&D, plant operations, QA, supply chain teams on timely resolution.
  • Determine the process flow / mixing steps and judge the operational feasibility of NPI products
  • Test, evaluate and perform sensory on raw materials and finished product and provide R&D release approval for low to medium complexity products
  • Collect relevant R&D samples e.g. shelf-life/analytical samples, customer samples and assist in shelf life studies as needed by R&D Scientists.
  • Communication any changes to current production lines/procedures and provide R&D technical support when required
  • Manage, coordinate, operate and maintain the Pilot Plant equipment and fulfill R&D and customer needs across APMEA as required
  • Manage, coordinate and fulfill the raw materials and finished products sample requests for R&D
  • Gain a full understanding of the production process and procedures and being a process and technical expert in the assigned technology and expand knowledge across multiple Kerry Taste & Nutrition technologies
  • Assist in co-ordination of GTIC Support Centre team or in other tasks/projects as requested by Technical Support Centre Manager on ad hoc basis

 

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field, preferably with Science / Technical background and minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in a regulated industry 
  • Possess strong knowledge about production lines and manufacturing processes, controls, and procedures
  • Willing to work flexible hours / weekends if and when required
  • Good communication skills in English (spoken & written), and competent in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Team player, independent, has initiative, is a self-starter and is confident
