About the role
The Quality Systems Manager ensures site compliance with global quality and food safety standards by maintaining HACCP, audit readiness, and documentation. The role also manages product setup, raw material risk assessments, and supports regulatory and customer requirements.
- Reporting to: Quality Control Manager
- Location: Brisbane, QLD
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain site HACCP and other risk assessment systems as required
- Ensuring site Quality Systems for Kerry Murarrie and Kerry Lytton are reviewed, updated and maintained to comply with Kerry Global Quality Management system requirements quality/ food safety requirements.
- Ensuring Site systems and procedures are ready at all times for Unannounced Audits
- Ensuring all Site systems and procedures are compliant with customer standards.
- Adherence to Technical action response deadlines (Regulatory, Customer etc.)
- Document Controller for the Murarrie Site & Kerry Lytton by generating and maintaining quality and department procedures to enable structured training and adherence to relevant standards
- Set up of products in relation to finished goods, raw materials, COA template creations.
- Carry out raw material risk assessments and food fraud assessments
- Conduct GMP Training for new and existing permanent employees
- Intelex & SAP Quality Superuser – Support all SAP & Intelex requirements
- Coordinate & Lead internal and external audits as required
- Monthly Food Safety reporting for Regional Food Safety Team
- Review all New Product Introduction Commercialization's approvals after manufacture.
- External 3rd Party Audits for Warehouses and Cross Dock Facilities.
Qualifications and skills
- Degree in Food Science/Technology or related discipline
- Must have 5 years minimum prior relevant experience in the food industry
- Working knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, GMP, YUM
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
- Exceptional Leadership skills with well-developed coaching and mentoring skills
- Building high performing and effective teams.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a factory environment
- SAP knowledge
