About the role
The Quality Assurance Technologist will be responsible for the quality assurance testing of both Wet and Dry testing for Raw Materials and Finished Goods to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Reporting to: Quality Control Manager
- Location: Brisbane, QLD
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine QA tasks as outlined in the Quality Policies Manual and associated procedures and work instructions:
- Finished product testing
- ATP swabs, Allergen swabs and hygiene inspections
- CCP verification checks
- Input QA data into SAP system as part of positive release.
- Isolation of non-conforming stock as required
- Liaise with other Departments on site to ensure continual improvement of products and quality systems; and assist in individual problem resolutions
- Assist in shelf life testing and monitoring of RM and intermediates.
- Put away of retention samples
- Internal auditing - Participate in internal audits of the site Quality System following the direction of the QS Coordinator and assist in routine GMP/bucket walks
- Ensure that Laboratory equipment and cleanliness are maintained
- Daily calibration of equipment before testing
- Raise a Non-conformance for out-of-spec product
Qualifications and skills
- Diploma or Degree level Food Science Qualification or relevant laboratory and/or Industry experience.
- Appropriate experience in food laboratories.
- Windows-based computer systems.
- SAP experience
