Quality Assurance Technologist (Night Shift)

Key responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality assurance tasks as outlined in the Quality Policies Manual and associated procedures and work instructions, including but not limited to:
    • Finished product testing
    • CCP verification checks
    • Input quality internal tests into the SAP system as part of positive release
    • Non-Conformances are raised and hold stickers to be placed on NC Stock that is located at the Murarrie Site
  • Liaise with other Departments on site to ensure continual improvement of products and quality systems; and assist in individual problem resolutions
  • Assist in shelf life testing and monitor of Raw Materials and intermediates
  • Assist with the Raw Materials releasing if required.
  • Collect and retain retention and shelf life samples in accordance with laboratory practices
  • Arrange the predelivery of finished goods to selected customers
  • Ensure that Laboratory and equipment are kept clean and tidy
  • Daily calibration of equipment before testing

Qualifications and skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Food Science or relevant laboratory and/or Industry experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role in food manufacturing environment
  • Candidate must be comfortable to work permanently night shift (10pm - 6am)
  • Appropriate experience in food testing in food laboratories.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous ERP experience, preferably in SAP
  • Able to work independently and proactively, and make appropriate decision with limited resources during night shift
  • Organsied and pay strong attention to details
  • Ability to meet deadlines, self-managed and ability to handle multiple tasks with speed and high accuracy
