About the role

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Process Quality Supervisor will be required to work closely with production to resolve non-conformances and put in place effective corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

  • Attend and active participation at Daily Operations Meeting
  • Investigate customer complaints and completion of response to customer
  • Handle weekly Environmental Monitoring Program activities
  • Perform internal investigation of non-conformances and subsequent close out
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions and implement any corrective actions from RCA sessions
  • Manage write off of stock where necessary by creating disposal forms
  • Monitor Pest Control activities and provide recommendations
  • Complete Glass and Brittle Plastics audits as per schedule
  • Perform indicator swabbing activities
  • Complete GMP audits as per schedule
  • Calibration of temperature probes
  • Handle allergen swabbing activities

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum 5 years quality experience in food manufacturing environment
  • Preferably Degree in Food Science/Technology or related discipline
  • Working knowledge of food laws – must have prior relevant experience in the food industry
  • Candidate must be comfortable to work day shift (2pm – 10pm)
  • Understanding of product certification programs such as Kosher and Halal
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and able to present and work with multiple stakeholders
  • Exceptional Leadership skills with well-developed coaching and mentoring skills
  • Building high performing and effective teams
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Knowledge of BRC, SQF, WQA, AQIS, HACCP and GMP
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a factory environment
  • SAP knowledge will be an advantage
