About the role


The primary purpose of this HSE Coordinator position is to drive HSE Programmes to ensure the safety of employees through the continuous improvement of OSH Standards, good governance, and compliance with HSE regulations and all statutory requirements relating to the Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental function. 

Work Location ; Murarrie - Brisbane 

Key responsibilities

  • Recognizing and controlling occupational hazards, environment impact and interfacing with employees and management.
  • Rectify the HSE issues in day to day basis, conduct daily HSE walkabout.
  • Support and guide HSE Committee for daily and monthly activities and inspections. 
  • Communicating health and safety information to the organization as appropriate. 
  • To conduct safety induction training to new employees, contractors and visitors
  • Evaluating and controlling workplace hazards by conducting risk assessment and environmental impact assessment. 
  • Report the HSE monthly KPI, HSE monitoring, waste management, DCF, ProSafe & Intelex. 
  • Ensure update the maintenance of all safety equipment such as fire system, calibration of gas detector etc.
  • Coordinate the HSE Committee meeting and activities 
  • Liaise with relevant department and related government body in any HSE issues.
  • Liaise with contractor on-site 
  • Propose internal HSE purchases

Qualifications and skills


  • Minimum Cert IV Workplace Health and Safety
  • Knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards
  • Preferably with knowledge in ISO 14001 & 45001.
  • Possess strong organizational and technical skills, a real passion for their work and driven to get the job done
  • Experience with compliance audits and safety management systems
  • An excellent communicator (both oral and written) capable of conveying ideas and concepts, and making formal presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and have little need for close management supervision and direction
  • Working Hours - 2pm to 10pm or 12pm to 8pm.
