About the role
The Continuous Improvement Lead will be required to work closely with the Murarrie Site Team to set and lead the execution of the overall continuous improvement strategy, ensuring long term sustainability of the results achieved whilst preserving the overall operating model.
Key responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the Kerry Teams and external partners in the diagnostics, planning, future state design work and implementation of Kerry Programs.
- Develop and implement effective continuous improvement strategies which are aligned to the overall business strategy with full alignment and support from the Plant Leadership Team and key stakeholders.
- Ensure the plant is using a standardized set of key performance indicators (KPI’s) as per the Kerry Plant Management System standard and that targets can be achieved through a rigorous performance management system.
- Collaborate with counterparts within Kerry to ensure consistency among processes and procedures.
- Act as a key mentor, influencer and supporter to the Plant Leadership Team.
- Coach, mentor and influence all levels to affect the required continuous improvement culture at the Murarrie Site, by educating on the ultimate vision for the plant and wider business.
- Support the site as they move through the change curve and align with the Plant Leadership Team on how best to support our people through the change with the ultimate ambition of winning hearts and minds and building a strong continuous improvement culture.
- Administer training programs that foster cross-functional deployment of continuous improvement and develop capability.
Qualifications and skills
- Preferably 5 years CI experience in a Food / Process Manufacturing Environment.
- Good to have CI related accreditations and formal training.
- Project management experience with practical knowledge of PM tools and techniques to support delivery.
- Stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to coach, mentor and influence at all levels.
- Excellent Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong financial acumen and grasp on how to translate operational improvements into financial impact.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio etc.)
