Key responsibilities

• Defines and optimizes production resources to maintain and improve the performance of the equipment, in line with the objectives set (safety, quality, environment, costs, deadlines, motivation).

• Supervises the Maintenance team leader, Planner and Buyer as well as the maintenance team.

• Ensures the satisfactory planning of preventive maintenance work, liaising with the other departments.

• Ensures the satisfactory deployment of first-level maintenance and guarantees its satisfactory implementation and its monitoring by production.

• Handles the implementation and tracking of requests for improvements confirmed with the departments issuing them, within the required deadlines.

• Handles the improvement of, and monitors the application of working methods on site, including the drafting and implementation of progress plans making it possible for the department to achieve economic gains and performance improvements.

• Guarantees the satisfactory use and operation of the CMMS software by all users and deliver against KPIs.

• Drafts and implements the necessary corrective and preventive improvement plans in addition to equipment replacement plans.

• Handles the budgetary tracking and reporting for the department and for the investments for which the site has responsibility.

• Monitors all phases in the upgrading or installation of an item of equipment, ensuring compliance with the budgets and deadlines specified, in addition to the delivery of the equipment, the operation of which should be efficient, reliable and economic.

• Contributes his/her technical expertise during the integration of new production resources (from the initial specifications through to formal acceptance) including the optimization of production methods and processes.

• Coordinates the Maintenance/New Work activity.

• Coordinates and manages the performance of work by outside companies.

• Participates in site meetings, inter-departmental meetings and/or meetings with the staff representation bodies as required (including the workplace health and safety committee).

Qualifications and skills

  • With 3 to 5 years’ higher education (process engineering, mechanics, etc.), you should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience, ideally in the food industry.
  • Excellent managerial skills.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • An ability to generate a positive dynamic, motivated by the wish to “always do better”.
  • A customer-centric approach (particularly toward internal customers).
  • An ability to convince and motivate.
  • A capacity to manage conflicts.
  • An ability to summarize and to focus on the essential, in addition to well-developed analytical skills.

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $73,000 to $108,000 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc.  In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
