About the role

Job Summary
The Industrial Sanitarian is responsible for highly detailed cleaning activities that require more specialization and training than typical line employees receive. They lead the effort to keep all our food products pure, wholesome, and free from contaminants and allergens.

Key responsibilities

Essential Job Functions
 Lead and perform detailed cleaning activities on the facility and on specialized production and packaging equipment, i.e. blenders, extruders, dryers, coating reel equipment, mill room, sugar tanks, and more.
 Assemble, disassemble, operate, trouble-shoot, and clean specialized cleaning equipment such as dry ice blasters, power washers, industrial vacuums, and garbage disposal equipment.
 Train line employees in cleaning procedures.
 Assist other departments with production-related activities as qualified.
 Perform limited grounds keeping activities, i.e. sidewalks, roof, parking lot, lawn and more.

Qualifications and skills

Minimum Qualifications
 High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
 Must be able to tolerate the above-listed physical and environmental demands of this position with or without accommodations.  Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.
 Must have some work experience doing manual labor within the last 5 years.
 Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
