About the role
We seek a customer-focused Vice President with a strong network in the food retail channel to lead the Direct to Retail Channel comprised of traditional food retail chains, Specialty Food chains, Warehouse Clubs, and on-line retail. It is Kerry’s expectation and goal that the VP will successfully execute the role, and the candidate must have significant experience in developing and building business with a variety of food retail companies who operate manufacturing facilities or commissaries, and produce products in their stores, using premier ingredients
Key responsibilities
• Contribute and work effectively as part of Kerry North America’s Senior Management team to deliver the agreed Annual Business Plan targets
• Have C-Suite Level relationship with key retail clients.
• Maintain and continue to build and grow a high performing business development and sales team
• Play a key role in the development, implementation, and achievement of annual budgets
• Work cross-functionally (operations, supply chain, marketing, and finance) to ensure customer performance goals are met.
• Travel requirements: 60% initially, moderating to 40-50%
Qualifications and skills
• BS Degree in Business or related field---MBA highly preferred. Minimum 15 years’ experience with progressive responsibilities in a food ingredients business (taste & nutrition, flavors, or functional ingredients, preferred), and a minimum of 8 years in commercial management roles working with food retailers and food manufacturers.
• Has strong and current high level relationships with key decision makers at target customers.
• Actively grown a business organically through new customer acquisition and customer penetration
• Experience with successful acquisitions
• Actively participated in new product development
• Experience in a matrix organizational structure in a complex multi-national company
• Success in developing high-performing teams and positive work culture
