About the role

Kerry Taste & Nutriton is seeking to add three new Territory Managers to their Meat FP&P vertical. These are virtual opportunities with a regional territory - yet to be defined. In this role, you will be driving business growth at target strategic customers, working independently, but in full cooperation with the Account Manager, developing new business opportunities to develop pipeline growth to meet or exceed business growth needs. Typically, targeting the R&D, QA, Food Safety personnel within the customer.

Key responsibilities

  • Owning the opportunity pipeline from initial introduction through lab trials and plant trials
  • Close communication/collaboration with the Account Manager
  • Technical product expert, advising customers on best Kerry solution to meet specific customer needs with strong ability to articulate key benefits and how to apply in the customer’s process
  • Gain a deep level of understanding of customers objectives and strategies to identify new opportunity spaces
  • Work with Business development to translate the opportunity space into actionable business plans that will achieve significant value creation for Kerry and the customer.
  • Collate intelligence gained at customers and condense into clear strategic opportunities that can be leveraged with scale with unique Kerry solutions
  • Stay abreast of competitor activity and proactively communicate to the business, ensuring that Product Managers are well informed to enable Product Positioning optimization
  • Responsible for the size of pipeline at target customers, ensuring pipeline is sufficient to achieve our financial goals
  • Deliver training to the Kerry teams to build relevant knowledge of FP&P technologies

Qualifications and skills

  • BS degree in Food Science or Microbiology
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar B2B sales role with proven track record of success with external customers
  • Experience in the food industry is required. Specific experience with ingredients that preserve and protect food is highly desirable with an indepth knowledge of meat processing.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
  • Must be capable of working independently and within a team
  • Strong demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills
  • Fluent English speaker
  • This role requires regular travel at a minimum of 50% throughout North America.
