About the role
As a member of the Kerry North America Tax team, the Tax Analyst will be involved in various aspects of US and Canadian income tax compliance.
The Tax Analyst is responsible for supporting the company’s tax compliance, planning, and reporting processes. This role ensures that the company complies with all tax laws and regulations while optimizing tax efficiencies. The Tax Analyst works closely with internal departments and external auditors, providing essential tax-related support, information and insights.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of the North America (US and Canada) federal and state income tax returns, income tax schedules, and tax incentives computations.
- Assist in data gathering and preparation of semi-annual and annual US federal and state income tax provision.
- Reconcile various tax accounts monthly.
- Assist with external and internal US tax audits.
- Review and respond to notices from various taxing authorities.
- Monitor federal, state, and local tax developments, including understanding how these developments affect the company’s operations.
- Assist with US and Canadian tax compliance projects, including tax estimates.
- Other ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications and skills
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field or equivalent combination of education and related professional work experience
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years of corporate tax experience preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, tax preparation software, and tax research software is a plus.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office tools is preferred.
The typical hiring range for this role is $62,906 to $92,755 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements.
