Rich’s Account Manager, Buffalo, NY.

This role is responsible for driving revenue and margin growth by developing customer plans (Rich), building new business, maintaining, and supporting current assigned accounts within the Meals End Use Market.

This role will be accountable for maintaining account projects within Salesforce, processing requests, analyzing performance metrics and identifying opportunities for continued growth and department improvements as the business and marketplace evolves, by working with customers procurement, culinary, R&D, technical and business management teams to influence and partner customer.

What would you do?

  • Pro-actively defend and expand existing portfolio items with the targeted growth accounts through project management and innovation partnership.
  • Manage a large portfolio of diverse projects across Kerry functions in order to service Key Customers using Salesforce.
  • Provide innovative, customer focused ideas to Key Customers by understanding their brands, platforms and strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal resources including Business Development, Marketing, R&D, Applications, Supply Chain, and Finance to support growth plans for the customer
  • Manage and orchestrate all customer opportunities and activities, utilizing the appropriate internal resources.
  • Focus on new business development and relationship building with key stakeholders including the creation and implementation of strategies that address customer goals, objectives and culture.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to optimize the use of all pertinent Kerry end use market strategies and resources.  Focus on roadmaps for growth for Kerry as a Taste and Nutrition company.
  • Develop and execute on pricing strategies including multi-year contract management.
  • Work with customers on timely forecasting in order to help improve service levels to the customer.
  • Participate in the implementation and achievement of annual budgets.
  • Analyze business trends to develop business growth strategy and manage total opportunity pipeline.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology is preferred.
  • Previous experience with Rich’s customer, ideally in Sales, Marketing or Procurement.
  • Strong skill set in relationship building & delivering to an agreed target.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work successfully on cross-function teams.
  • Experience and knowledge Ingredients or Food specific to understanding how product development, project solutions and process support is handled within manufacturing.
  • Negotiation skills, as well as pricing communications and account planning.
  • Drive for results and Customer Focus oriented
  • Experience with CRM systems (salesforce.com) & Microsoft Suite Tool
  • Continuous Improvement tools and Project Management are highly desirable.
  • Availability to travel

This position needs to be based in Buffalo, New York, or Georgia area as the main customer has strong presence there.
